Rush Alpha Phi Omega!

 When students get to college there are so many organizations for them to join it can be overwhelming. It is important when deciding which student organizations to join that you learn about the organization, its members, and what benefits the organization has to offer you. Alpha Phi Omega is a very unique organization, you will learn that from the beginning. In Alpha Phi Omega, you will build strong bonds with fellow members, re-invigorate your desire to help others and hone skills to make you better able to contribute to the world.

Alpha Phi Omega will present you with numerous opportunities to help others, develop leadership skills, and develop friendships with your fellow Brothers. During the beginning of the Fall and Spring semesters we start our Rush program. This is where we have information sessions to give you information about AFW, have service projects so you get to see what AFW is all about, and also have fellowship events so you get to know the Brothers. Rush is in no way a commitment to AFW, these events are designed just for you, the AFW prospect, and are designed for you to have information about AFW and decide if this is the life-long commitment you want to make. After Rush, prospective members are them asked to pledge Alpha Phi Omega. You will be informed of Tau Mu's pledging specifics once membership is extended to you.

The essence of pledging is all about getting to know Alpha Phi Omega and letting the members get to know the pledges. Everything done during the pledge process is designed to help prospective members learn about the fraternity so they can determine if Alpha Phi Omega is the place for them. Each chapter has developed its own individual pledge program. Some common elements include participation in leadership, fellowship and service activities; helping to plan and implement a project; getting to know members of the chapter and the pledge class; serving on a committee. Alpha Phi Omega has a strict policy of zero-tolerance for hazing.
