BGSO meeting minutes

Last BGSO meeting of the 2003-2004 year.

Elections: Voting continues by email until tonight. Results will be emailed this weekend.

End of the year Tiki Party: Friday, May 14 at Lisa Whitenack's house Lisa and Sofia are ironing out the details, but the gist is that BGSO will be providing party food, a keg o' beer, tropical drinks, and leis. They will be sending out directions and things to bring (chairs, coolers) soon. The Tiki Party is BYOB (Bring Your Own Bucket (or puke in the bedroom where Dayv already did)). BGSO was only going to buy a half keg or beer, but we upped it once Susie assured us, "Don't worry. I'll help out. There won't be any wasted beer." Well, I think that one blonde Midwesterner just issued a challenge to all you "men" out there. Get ready to drink up!

Other news: GAU is continuing to bargain for us, trying to keep our former rights intact and gain new ones. Anna can send an update to darwin about the details. GAU is offering a "Three for Free" deal. If you sign up for the union now, you don't pay dues this summer. Please contact Anna Bass about this deal. And PLEASE become a member. It is only 1% of your check, and every person that is on the list makes the University take us that much more seriously. The Curriculum Committee heavily updated the Academic Policies and Procedures for the dept. (that thing we get every year and never read). It will be extremely useful now, so be sure and read them in the Fall.
