The
Biology Graduate Student Organization

at USF

Facts and FAQS

Who Are We?
We are USF students representing our interests to our fellow students, the biology department and USF.
Read our constitution to learn about our hopes and dreams. Ok, it's actually just all the rules and definitions that shape our organization.

Where and When are the meetings?
The second Friday of each month in SCA 201

Who can join?

All USF students may become a member regardless of your year in school or your intended major.

Why should I join?
The more official members we have, the more money the university will give us to fund events such as workshops with invited speakers, seminars and community activities. You will also be given access to the Darwin list-serve.

How do I join?
Show up for a meeting and write your name on the roll sheet. You will then be on probation for the first month until you attend two functions . After that, you'll need to attend two functions a semester to keep active membership.

What events are considered "functions"?
Functions include, but may not be limited to the following:
weekly seminars, brown bag luncheons, monthly meeting, designated social and philanthropic events.
