What does Delta Chi do?
The South Florida chapter of Delta Chi believes in: academics, leadership, integrity, success, personality and athletics. We as a brotherhood embrace all these characteristics of a true gentleman. By doing so, Delta Chi has placed itself as a "quality over quantity" fraternity. Delta Chi holds one of the highest GPA’s on campus; has become a force to reckon with academically as well as politically; and continues to be the "a fraternity of gentlemen."
How does one go about "rushing?"
Any person interested in joining a fraternity at USF usually follows a set "rush" procedure. What is that, exactly? During set times of the year (at the beginning of each semester), interested people go by the Greek organizations that interest them. There, you meet the brothers at the Marshall Center or another location. As there is a limited amount of time and a good deal of people to meet the members try to meet as many people as they can. They are attempting to find the people they believe will make good members or that they wish to have in their organization. If they find someone they wish to join their fraternity, they give the person a "bid," which is an invitation to join..

Delta Chi believes that recruiting new members is not a one week event, but a year round process. We are continuously searching for future leaders with whom we can share a brotherhood of a lifetime. The rush process is an opportunity for the rush guest and fraternity members to develop future friendships.

Associate Member Program
After accepting a bid, in most cases, the new associate member goes through a period of learning and growing. This leads the fraternity to finally determine if this person will be good for their organization, and it also helps the individual decide if they chose the right fraternity. This often (as in our case) is a period of approximately one semester, with set weekly meetings and other projects and activities throughout the semester. To find out more about Delta Chi's Associate Member program, please contact our Associate Member Counselor, Chris Marshall or Jay "Cowboy" Tomblin.
