Zeta is again taking the lead, but Lambda and Eta are not far behind. Maple B has taken the lead in the battle of the Maples. Keep it up, and they might beat out Maple A this year...
Some halls are showing good improvement over last year's numbers, making them contenders for the Most Improved prize... but some halls have exceeded the baseline energy usage. There is still plenty of time left in the competition, and it's anyone's game.
So get your hall motivated! Unplug appliances not in use, utilize daylighting, take the stairs instead of the elevator, shorten showers. Check the Tips section for more ideas.
ConservaBull 2009 First Prize: The residence hall with the largest reduction in energy from its baseline case is the overall winner! Residents in the winning hall win custom T-shirts and take part in a drawing for a new iPod!
Most Improved: Not being in first place doesn't mean you can't win. The residence hall that shows the most improvement from ConservaBull 2008 will also have a drawing for a new iPod!

Results are posted for the past four weeks. Beta Hall, Zeta Hall, and Eta Hall are leading the way, but the competition is far from over. Expect weekly updates, and don't forget that that there is a second winner for most improvment over last year's results.

Residence halls have been metered for 3 weeks now, and the competition is well underway. Results will be posted soon, but don't let your guard down. Remember, the meter is always running!

The ConservaBull is not about touting sustainability or "greenness". It's about raising our consumption conscience. We have enjoyed almost unlimited resources and have adapted our
lifestyle accordingly. Most often we are not even aware of our wasteful habits.
