Why is my residence hall not included in the competition?
The 14 halls competing were selected because of their energy monitoring system. The halls not included are not able to be monitored individually. The more we conserve the more reason to install monitoring devices on the other buildings!
How did it Start?
In a time of budget crunches, construction projects and other construction related sustainability initiatives are difficult, however sustainable ideas aren't always expensive to implement. We just have to raise our awareness. Select campuses across the nation have started similar projects to ConservaBull. Now it's our turn.
How is the winner determined?
The residence hall that decreases its energy consumption by the largest percentage from its baseline case is the winner. The baseline case is building-specific and is averaged over a three year period. This way each hall is given the same chance at winning. Remember, this is a team effort!
I don't live on campus how can I get involved?
- Check our website. Look at the tips section. Try and be more aware of you footprint. It takes 21 days to form a habit!
- Get involved on campus, Join EGB and help plan ConservaBull or other similar projects!

Yes!
What does "a chance to win an iPod mean"?
Each student in the winning residence will be entered in a drawing to win an iPod.
