You have the ball, there may be upward of a thousand warriors on the field, and it's five miles to the goal.  Short of murder, there were no rules to protect you.  Native Americans played lacrosse to please the "Creator" and to pre-empt war between nations.
To the Iroquois, lacrosse was "The Little Brother of War."

South Florida Lacrosse is a founding member of the Atlantic Coast Lacrosse Alliance, and a member of the US Lacrosse Intercollegiate Associates.  In 2000-2001, lacrosse was brought back to USF as a member of the USLIA and Florida Lacrosse League.  This first year featured opponents such as Winthrop University, University of Central Florida, and University of Florida.  Next year's schedule proves to be very trying, with new opponents including The Citadel, UNC-Charlotte, Wake Forest, App. State and Alabama. It is a tribute to how far this program has come, which finished 3rd in Div II of the Florida Lacrosse League.

Lacrosse is everything and nothing you've seen all at once.  You'll find the conditioning of soccer players, strategies of hockey and basketball, the moves of a broken field runner, and hits that can awe the toughest middle linebacker.  Lacrosse is the fastest game on two legs.

Do you have what it takes to be a warrior?
