6/7 Red Zone gathering . . . Our own Steamin' Willie Beaman (Jeff Conley) is celebrating his 23rd birthday at the Red Zone (formerly Casey's Cove), this sat nite around 10:30.  He's looking forward to seein' the lax boys out for drink.  Call him for more info 813.727.JEFF.

5/24 USF Lax makes the Alliance! . . . Well it's official,   The University of South Florida Lacrosse Club is a founding member of the Atlantic Coast Lacrosse Alliance.  USF Lax is set to play a 8 game conference schedule with the championship at the University of Alabama in April.  The Alliance includes clubs from the University of Alabama, Appalachian State, University of Central Florida, The Citadel, Elon College, Furman University, University of North Carolina - Charlotte, University of South Florida, Wake Forest, and Winthrop University.  Now hit the wall!  Here's Tim's Drills.

5/8 USF Lax earns respect! . . . After the great performance against the University of Florida, USF finished 2001 as 100th in the LAXPower USLIA poll.  A strong finish for the 1st year club, who finished atop next year's opponents Alabama, Furman and Winthrop.  Way to go, Bulls!

5/1 South Florida loses it's intimidator . . . Allister Brookes, USF's leader in penalty minutes, leaves us in May to go back to Seattle.  His motivation, leadership, "sick" skills, and Earth Shattering Hits will be missed.  I know I'll miss knockin' heads with South Florida's hardest hitter, as will UCF.  Thank you Mr. Allister.

4/20 USF Lax awards . . . Congratulations to Ryan Monahan and Robert Cronin, offensive and defensive players of the year.  Other congrats to Amit Sharan and Robert Dooley, most improved offensive and defensive players of the 2000-2001 season.
