Starting Monday, 11/25, we will begin to experience
the joys of construction and renovation work within the
Marshall Student Center. The MC Cafe will be gutted so that we
can bring to life the new Einstein Bagel food operation.
The Campus View West restaurant will also undergo a
major facelift as we make room for the new "Top of
the Palms" restaurant which will debut on January
6th. In December, we will also be working with SG to
expand and renovate the computer lab located in the
lower level. The renovation work will provide some minor
inconveniences for all of us such as noise, dirt, and
limited food operations but the end result will be well
worth the temporary hassle as these projects will
tremendously enhance the services and facilities of the
Marshall Student Center. I will update you on the projects
throughout the next six weeks just as I updated you on
the exterior painting project we did last spring. If you
have any questions or concerns, please let me know.
Work to be done the week of 11/25 - 12/1
Einstein Bagels: Remove all fixtures and equipment,
begin demo of floors and walls, reroute electrical and
plumbing lines.
Top of the Palms: Remove furniture, fixtures and
equipment.
SG Computer Lab: Normal operations, no renovation
work scheduled until mid December.
During the time that the MC Cafe is closed for
renovations, the Tampa Room Food court will be increase
it's menu options to provide some of the morning menu
items that were normally offered in the MC Cafe.
