USF Chapter

USF Chapter

Having been chartered into Progressive Black Men, Inc on November 15, 2003, the USF Chapter started with 8 founders. The founding members were Daniel Adderly, Anthony J. Cox, Kerrell J. Joseph, Stephen C. Newbold, Jr., Walter E. Robinson, Raymond J. Thomas III, Ryan L. Tyler, and Wayne Wright. Bro. Newbold served as the founding president of the chapter and carried the tremendous responsibility of seeing the organization rise to the heights of progression. The Founding Class participated in a variety of community projects, including tutoring to Greco Middle School students with learning and behavioral problems, which consisted of a large minority population. During the following spring semester, the club held it's first social event, "Cupid's Corner" which involved the organization selling dinners, flowers, and candy to the university Community. During that Spring semester the chapter took part in Black Emphasis Month activities and began the tradition of hosting their annual event "Black Faculty Appreciation" On April 3, 2004, The First Class completed their Road toward Progression and those members consisted of Bryan Baltimore, Richard Brown, Howard Coleman, Woodrow Coleman, Karon Montgomery, and John Wallace.
