Sponsor vs Giving (What is the Difference)

USF Rugby Operates out of three various accounts. One of which is a portion of Activity and Service fees which is dispersed yearly by Student Government. Next is the USF Rugby Foundation Fund we have set up through the USF Foundation Inc. Finally is the team checking account.

 

If you are interested in giving small amounts of money to the team, we recommend giving to the later of the three. Here is our reasons. Unlike the other two funds, our checking account is ours to spend as we please. We do not need to submit purchase orders or wait for approval. Money is available once we write the check.

 

We use our checking account for paying for simple everyday club items like referees fees, post game socials, and gas for the various away games. Recently we have used the funds to send players to development camps, national tryouts, and referee courses.

 

Just as the other accounts serve there purpose, this account is vital to the success of the organization. Giving to this fund will still entitle you to any and all recognition as a tax deductible one, with the exception of the tax deduction itself.

 

How to Give

Make Checks Payable to "USF Rugby Football Club" and be sure to include "Rugby" on the memo line. Then please send checks to:

TAX INFORMATION

Donations to the teams checking account is not tax deductible as it is not supported by 501c.
