Come and be a part of USF’s largest community service event!! Stampede of Service was created in January 2006 to truly celebrate the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. Since then, it has grown in size and has become a part of USF tradition.
Stampede of Service is a day completely devoted to participating in service, enjoy time with friends and make a difference in the community.
Last year nearly 1,800 students participated in the event and SOS 2009 is hoping to raise the bar to 2,500 students. Make this possible and MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
We hope to serve more than 60 organizations in the Tampa Bay community, volunteering with:
- Senior Citizens
- The Environment
- Youth
- Homelessness
- Poverty
- Women’s Issues
- Education
- And many more…

Sign-up to be a participant at the event
Participate in the event as an individual. Make a difference in the USF and Tampa Bay community and be a part of the 2,500 student strong community service project.
*If you will be volunteering with your student organization tell your President or Volunteer Coordinator to register below.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE AMERICAN MARKETING ASSOCIATION FOR WINNING THE RAFFLE
Very Important: If you sign-up your student organization by November 14, 2008, you receive preference of type of service you wish to participate in, and you have your organization's name on the back of the t-shirts.
*If your student organization would like to provide entertainment for the pre- and post- event please enter that information in the space provided and the type of entertainment you will provide. (It must be suitable and appropriate) This is a great way to get your student organization's talent out there!
**Sign-up your student organization by August 1st and be placed in a raffle, and SOS '09 will sponsor one of your club meetings and provide food to the winner. You also get a preference of site and name on the back of the t-shirts. **
Sign-up to be a site leader (Choose your sign-up option then check the box for Site Leader)
As a site leader you will lead a group of students the day-of to your designated service site. There will be training for this and it will be fun!! You will facilitate the service and answer any questions for participants about the type of work they will be doing to information about the agency. You have to de dependable and be willing to attend the trainings that will be announced at a later date. The deadline to sign-up to be a site leader is November 14, 2008. There will be trainings on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 18th and 19th from 5-6pm, choose one to attend, and January 13th and 14th from 5-6pm, choose one to attend. Here you will get your t-shirts and also what your duties will be and your role for SOS '09.
Register as a member of the SOS Street Team
As a member of the Street Team you will help publicize the event, and get people excited! Some of your duties might include, but not limited to; chalking on sidewalks around campus, talking to student organizations, help with SOS Week in October, and volunteer to help the day-of. SOS Week is scheduled for October 27-31.

If your organization would like to participate in Stampede of Service by providing service for the volunteers, fill out the form and fax it to the Center for Civic Engagement and Volunteerism at (813) 974-8011. We appreciate your generosity and impact you are making to our students and community.
Sponsorship Sign-Up
Sign up here if you would like to donate monetary contributions. With your help we can provide, transportation for the participants, food and t-shirts. Also your name will appear on all 2,000+ t-shirts. This is a great way to get your business' name out there.
